    JULY 2nd, 2026

    Celebrate the 250th birthday of our great nation! We will have special events and a 3:00 pm Lecture (with snacks) on how Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin are Americas first paleontologists! We might also raise a new flag pole that evening. Cheers!

    2nd ANNUAL "RAPTOR ROUNDUP"

    JULY 5th, 2026

    Its Rodeo week here in Belle Fourche, with the annual Black Hills Roundup PCRA Rodeo, the second largest event in the Black Hills. To honor that, we have kids in dinosaur costumes running various events like 100 meter dash, barrel racing, and dino jousting, for prizes and bragging rights. Presentations on dinosaur speed, power and trackways. Also see us at the Rodeo!

    1ST ANNUAL "ROCKIN ROCK, MINERAL AND FOSSIL SHOW!"

    AUGUST 15-16th, 2026

    It's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally week here in the hills and since everyone is rocking out to the awesome music and motorcycle chaos, we figured we'd add a touch of dinosaur and Earth Science awesomeness! Visit the museum gift shop for special discounts, set up a vendor booth with arts, crafts, fossils, minerals and jewelry. Come hang out and listen to some local rock and country bands. Great ride from Sturgis to Bear Butte to Devils Tower.

  • 2nd ANNUAL HAUNTED MUSEUM DAYS

    OCTOBER 28-31st, 2026

    A whole week of night-time spooky events. Nightly presentations on dinosaurs. Ghost stories. Jurassic Costume contest. Haunted museum tours. Old movies on the side of the building.

    Museum and gift shop are open late with nice discounts on merch, minerals, fossils and books. Santa raptor might have a free fossil for the first 50 guests. Christmas party and both silent auction and live fossil auctions.
